Hi Reader, Do you ever find yourself with a stack of beautiful layer cakes, but not sure what to do with them? My new Baby Blocks Quilt Pattern (40% Discount) solved my dilemma of reducing my fabric pile! While I don't generally purchase Layer Cakes using 10" squares for quilting is an easy and very fast way to make a simple quilt. This quilt also has the diversity of of changing up your squares for different looks. Take a look and see what you think. Patterns that don't have matching seams or waste fabric are definitely my preference. Do you use layer cakes very often? They seem to be quite popular and I've been using them more recently. If you prefer to cut your own 10" squares from your fat quarter, be sure to download my free precut cutting chart. It shows you how to cut multiple precuts from you own fabrics. This is usually how I 'make' my own precuts using fat quarters. While the quilt top shown in this video is finished, today I need to get it quilted. Here's a video of how I've quilted this pattern before. It's a simple straight-line quilting pattern that shows off the blocks very well. Let me know what you think. With that, I'm getting ready for the grandkids to spend the night. Then we'll all get together for Mother's Day for a fun Taco/Fajita Bar luncheon! A particular favorite with the kids as they can choose the toppings they want and leave the rest for those of use who prefer a bit of everything. ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ Have a wonderful Mother's Day! Celebrate with your mothers and kids! Have a blessed weekend and enjoy some great family time. Don't Miss THIS MONTH'S Fat Quarter Shop Specials!

Hi Reader, With JUST ONE Fat Quarter You can create this beautiful Potato Chip Quilt! It may be small but so very and pretty and practical. Plus it's a great way to get back into these 'addictive' quilts. I know I can never make just one! ๐ My initial thought for this tutorial was to use an ugly fabric I avoid using. But then I found this piece and had to use it! I have a couple other variations that I'm excited to try, so be sure and watch for those. โญSubscriber 40% OFF Super-Sized Placemat...
Hi Reader, YAY ๐ฅณ MY WEBSITE IS BACK AND WORKING! Thank you so much for understanding and being so supportive while my website was down these last few weeks. Due to some idiot hacker, my site was totally inoperable! With lots of help, everything is now operating as it should. There are some new articles I still need to add and will let you know when they are posted. To keep my internet-frustration to a minimum, of course I just kept quilting! Here are some new videos you may not have seen yet....
Hi Reader, Wow, it's been a month and it's only the 14th! My website has been a blank white screen for two weeks. More commonly referred to the 'white screen of death'! It was hacked and getting it back in operation has taken some time. But now it's back online...EXCEPT that I can't add any new posts. There are a number of posts for new quilts I've been working on and hopefully I can get them online soon. In the meantime, here's today's video. It's a demonstration/tutorial for the orange peel...
