Try This Clever Grid Quilting Hack! It's a Great Design You'll Definitely Recognize.

Hi Reader,

Wow, it's been a month and it's only the 14th! My website has been a blank white screen for two weeks. More commonly referred to the 'white screen of death'! It was hacked and getting it back in operation has taken some time. But now it's back online...EXCEPT that I can't add any new posts. There are a number of posts for new quilts I've been working on and hopefully I can get them online soon.

In the meantime, here's today's video. It's a demonstration/tutorial for the orange peel quilting design. The design is simple but it's those darn curves that scare quilters away. Once you watch this, those curves won't be any problem. Plus there's NO MARKING required before you even begin quilting! Take a peek and you might get inspired to give this a try, at least I hope so.

To make the Orange Peel Quilting easier for you, I've included a quilting diagram in the pattern, Baby Blocks Quilt Pattern (40% Discount). It's now up to 15 pages so there's lots of great quilting information for you.

Before any more quilting gets started, we have a family birthday to celebrate this weekend and we are all looking forward to celebrating. It'll give me an excuse to do some fun cooking, too. It's my daughter's-in-law birthday and I love cooking for festivities! That'll be my weekend. Then next week I'm getting back to Potato Chip Block Quilting.

Here's a list of my favorite PCB Quilts to get you excited about how we'll do this with panels. It'll be loads of fun! Definitely check out the video below for my favorite PCB Quilt.

With that, it's time to do some birthday party menu planning! Have a great weekend and we'll get together next week.

Happy Quilting,

Hi Reader, My Potato Chip Panel Quilt is finally finished and I think you'll love it! This video brings all the steps together. You'll see how the panels are assembled around the large center floral wreath. There were a few tricks needed to get it all to fit evenly. These 'modifications' only improved the final layout resulting in a wonderful finished quilt top! There is one last step before I can get this one quilted. I have enough fabric for a border on just one side. The border will be on...

Hi Reader, This panel potato chip quilt is looking fabulous and I'm so close to being finished. Have you ever had a quilt just about finished only to find a mistake that HAD to be fixed? I have a couple from a few years ago that are still sitting on the shelf waiting for me to get the mistakes corrected. But for this faux-pas (a really big mistake!) I was determined to make the block usable! This video is a step-by-step tutorial for fixing a common mistake we all probably encounter at some...

Hi Reader, Ready for a super simple baby quilt? Today's quilt is a remake of of a pattern from a couple years ago which has been quite popular. My new quilt has lots more color and is made a bit larger. While the Kaffe Fassett fabrics look awesome, the Ombres make all the difference! It's a fun combination for this quilt. My favorite aspect about this pattern is how different these quilts turned out. Yes, they are both made with wide strips, but color certainly changes the look! Now I'm...
