A Super EASY Wavy Walking Foot Technique to use on YOUR Sewing Machine!

Hi Reader,

Now that I've found my walking foot, more quilts will finally get finished! That precious bag was mixed in a larger moving box keeping my walking foot concealed. This is my first machine quilting video in months and I'm so exited to share it with you.

Easy Machine Quilting on Your Sewing Machine

This quilt is one of two baby quilts from the same layer cake and looks adorable in the Cottage Grove fabrics. There are no matching seams in the block, so it goes together fast!

The video demonstrates how to quilt with a walking foot on your sewing machine. It's a very simple wavy pattern that's easy and forgiving to sew. There are plenty of tips explained along with step-by-step instructions. From basting, to machine quilting, to trimming the quilt sandwich, everything you need to know is right here!

A Baby Size 'Layer Cake Walk' Quilt

Here's the second baby quilt which is made with my Layer Cake Walk Quilt ⭐Pattern Sale⭐. This quilt is even easier as the block has fewer seams. It's sweet and only uses half a layer cake. That's how I got two baby quilts from just one. This way there's one for the new baby at home and one to leave at grandmother's, too.

A Sweet Baby Quilt with So Many Possibilities

This is my newest pattern and it should be ready for release by the end of this month. This is an easy introduction and a perfect size to try. My plan is to make this super scrappy in soft spring colors. I have the fabric, now I need to get it done! In the meantime, you'll enjoy this demonstration.

What's Next?

If you saw my Fabric Haul video a couple of weeks ago, you know I have lots of quilting ahead of me. With so may beautiful fabrics to choose from, there will soon be some gorgeous ideas to share with you.

First, I want to finish the four twin size charm quilts I worked on last month. Fortunately they are nearly finished and then need quilting. They will be worked on between other projects, but I'll definitely show you the finished quilts.

Then I have the Blue 'All Blocked In' Quilt to finish. It's for a friend so I need to get going on that one. The fabrics are wonderful and it looks awesome with just blue fabrics. You know that monochromatic color schemes are not easy for me. Nonetheless I'm really happy with how it's looking so far. To jazz it up a bit, I'm putting this quilt on point which is a wonderful way to set your quilt apart.

But right now, I'm looking forward to a relaxing getaway weekend with friends. I'll be back in a couple days, refreshed and ready to quilt!

Don't Miss THIS MONTH'S Fat Quarter Shop Specials!

FYI: I've gotten layer cakes at under $22 in the Weekly Precut Bundle Sales!

Happy Quilting,

Lea Louise

Hi Reader, Today's quilting tutorial video is a straight-line quilting lesson to finish my newest Baby Blocks Quilt Pattern. The easy techniques I use to keep those lines as straight as possible are definitely included. But don't look to me for perfection! I'm always happy with FINISHED! Take a look and you'll see that the minor stitching issues we have are hardly noticeable. Plus if you watch to the end, you'll see how the binding is attached using a decorative stitch. Plus you'll get to...

Hi Reader, Here's my new Baby Blocks Quilt! The different size blocks mixed together creates a great visual. This is a very fast quilt made even quicker with layer cakes. Though you can use whatever you have on hand and just cut it to size. This quilt is made with only half of the Cottage Grove Layer Cake and is perfect for a sweet, little baby quilt! My next quilt will be out soon and is made with the 2nd half of the same layer cake. This is a great quilt combo to get two quilts at once....

Hi Reader, "No sooner do I get close to finishing a quilt than another idea grabs my attention." Yes, this is the way I started my last email and yet again it still applies. I had the opportunity to visit family and friends in Maryland AND visit a fabulous quilt store, the Artistic Artifacts, owned and operated by Judy Gula. More details below! It was a wonderful spring visit with lots of blooming trees everywhere! All those beautiful colors make me excited to get back to quilting! Now I have...
