Hi Reader, Now that I've found my walking foot, more quilts will finally get finished! That precious bag was mixed in a larger moving box keeping my walking foot concealed. This is my first machine quilting video in months and I'm so exited to share it with you. Easy Machine Quilting on Your Sewing MachineThis quilt is one of two baby quilts from the same layer cake and looks adorable in the Cottage Grove fabrics. There are no matching seams in the block, so it goes together fast! The video demonstrates how to quilt with a walking foot on your sewing machine. It's a very simple wavy pattern that's easy and forgiving to sew. There are plenty of tips explained along with step-by-step instructions. From basting, to machine quilting, to trimming the quilt sandwich, everything you need to know is right here! Recommended Supplies for these quilts:
A Baby Size 'Layer Cake Walk' QuiltHere's the second baby quilt which is made with my Layer Cake Walk Quilt βPattern Saleβ. This quilt is even easier as the block has fewer seams. It's sweet and only uses half a layer cake. That's how I got two baby quilts from just one. This way there's one for the new baby at home and one to leave at grandmother's, too. A Sweet Baby Quilt with So Many PossibilitiesThis is my newest pattern and it should be ready for release by the end of this month. This is an easy introduction and a perfect size to try. My plan is to make this super scrappy in soft spring colors. I have the fabric, now I need to get it done! In the meantime, you'll enjoy this demonstration. More Walking Foot Posts:
What's Next?If you saw my Fabric Haul video a couple of weeks ago, you know I have lots of quilting ahead of me. With so may beautiful fabrics to choose from, there will soon be some gorgeous ideas to share with you. First, I want to finish the four twin size charm quilts I worked on last month. Fortunately they are nearly finished and then need quilting. They will be worked on between other projects, but I'll definitely show you the finished quilts. Then I have the Blue 'All Blocked In' Quilt to finish. It's for a friend so I need to get going on that one. The fabrics are wonderful and it looks awesome with just blue fabrics. You know that monochromatic color schemes are not easy for me. Nonetheless I'm really happy with how it's looking so far. To jazz it up a bit, I'm putting this quilt on point which is a wonderful way to set your quilt apart. But right now, I'm looking forward to a relaxing getaway weekend with friends. I'll be back in a couple days, refreshed and ready to quilt! Don't Miss THIS MONTH'S Fat Quarter Shop Specials!FYI: I've gotten layer cakes at under $22 in the Weekly Precut Bundle Sales!

Hi Reader, With JUST ONE Fat Quarter You can create this beautiful Potato Chip Quilt! It may be small but so very and pretty and practical. Plus it's a great way to get back into these 'addictive' quilts. I know I can never make just one! π My initial thought for this tutorial was to use an ugly fabric I avoid using. But then I found this piece and had to use it! I have a couple other variations that I'm excited to try, so be sure and watch for those. βSubscriber 40% OFF Super-Sized Placemat...
Hi Reader, YAY π₯³ MY WEBSITE IS BACK AND WORKING! Thank you so much for understanding and being so supportive while my website was down these last few weeks. Due to some idiot hacker, my site was totally inoperable! With lots of help, everything is now operating as it should. There are some new articles I still need to add and will let you know when they are posted. To keep my internet-frustration to a minimum, of course I just kept quilting! Here are some new videos you may not have seen yet....
Hi Reader, Wow, it's been a month and it's only the 14th! My website has been a blank white screen for two weeks. More commonly referred to the 'white screen of death'! It was hacked and getting it back in operation has taken some time. But now it's back online...EXCEPT that I can't add any new posts. There are a number of posts for new quilts I've been working on and hopefully I can get them online soon. In the meantime, here's today's video. It's a demonstration/tutorial for the orange peel...
