Hi Reader, It was fun to make triangle quilt blocks that aren't HSTs! What a nice change. Thanks to all of you who watched last week's video! I enjoyed making it and I'm glad so many of you enjoyed it. There were lots of questions about the Square-in-a-Square block. Particularly the dimension to cut squares for the right size triangle, plus multiple assembly inquiries. I enjoy this feed back as it gives me the opportunity to share the info you need. In case you missed it, last week's video is included below today's new release. My new video, Mastering Easy Quilting β A Beginnerβs Guide to Perfect Triangle Blocks, answers these questions with demonstrations plus other helpful triangle tips. In last week's video I mentioned that there will be a Christmas Row-by-Row Quilt Along coming soon. There will be multiple videos, each demonstrating a specific block for this quilt. For those of you who prefer a smaller scale project, I'll also include that same block in a smaller mini quilt, like a mug rug. This way you can try the block to learn the skill but not have to spend too much time sewing. 𧡠You'll see the first few blocks I'm working on now in today's video. I'm excited to get started on the quilt and will keep you informed of my progress. It'll be fun and I hope you enjoy the 'series'. Please let me know if there's a specific block or technique you'd like to see included. This won't be a difficult quilt as it's meant to be an enjoyable holiday project with a few new tricks to learn. It's been a very busy week for us. I didn't get a new post written yet and will try to get that finished soon. But we expect to be quite busy these next couple weeks as well. I still have three weeks of cardiac physical therapy left to go which is three days a week. Plus, Sept 27th marks one year since Hurricane Helene threw a tree on our house and broke it in half! There's been a flurry of activity at our house this week but it's hard to believe it'll be finished in such a short time. Please send good thoughts and prayers our way! It's been a long year with many, multiple moves and we are ready to be home. We are so blessed to have a wonderful rental to live in right now, but it's just not home. I'd love for you to visit my Amazon Storefront! It's a work in progress that's been fun to do. It's like shopping and adding items to my 'shop' instead of my 'cart'. Yes, I've bought most of what's in there, but it's also a place to keep those items I hope to buy, too. π You may also enjoy my Etsy Favorites. Check out my Sewing Room Favorites for some adorable picks. Have you seen all the collectible sets of straight pins out there lately? They are so pretty and I want them all! But I don't know what to do with them. I'd hate to use them for everyday sewing. There's got to be some fun ideas for using them out there! Let me know what you think. My mom had a wonderful collection of antique hat pins when I was little. They were kept in a velvet pin cushion on the dining room mantle and I loved looking at them as a kid. Maybe that's why I like these pins so much. β€ For now I'll enjoy looking at them online as I have lots of quilting to do! There's more than a few piles of fabric ready to be sewn. I think September 2025 will be memorable for many reasons for a long time. For now, I'm glad to get this email and new video out to you. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll be in touch again soon. Sure appreciate you following along! Don't Miss the Fat Quarter Shop Specials for September

Hi Reader, No sooner do I get close to finishing a quilt than another idea grabs my attention. As you know, there are four twin size charm square quilts I'm working on using different Disappearing-9-Patch Layouts. This week's is number three and I'm already working on the fourth. Don't miss my Confetti: A Disappearing 9-Patch Quilt Pattern which is available at 40% off only to subscribers via my emails! Hi Reader, There are three quilt block techniques that always get quilters excited. First is a rag quilt, most likely because they are very easy and don't require traditional quilting. That makes them a perfect quilting-for-beginners choice. Second is the disappearing 9-patch. The initial block is a simple 9-patch which is then cut into multiple pieces and rearranged into some very interesting designs. Third is the potato chip block. It's definitely been a favorite of mine, too! The allure...
