Hi Reader, Is anyone else besides me getting lots of quilting done? Are you making any special projects for Valentine's Day? Check out my pretty pink Chenille Heart Pillow article on the website. It's a quick 'show-the-love' finish that you can still squeeze in before the big day! The Valentine's Day pillows I made this month are quite pretty. Two use a chenille trim, but there's an amazing shortcut that I just discovered! The other is a French Rose Rag Quilt Pillow which is rosy and bright! Take a look and let me know what you think. Here's my last video, Try This Faux Chenille Technique Instead. This is a tutorial demonstrating how to use Chenille-It Blooming Binding. Or you can check out this amazing Chenille Tool by OLFA that cuts in four different sizes. Now that I've used both, I can see where each one will be very useful. You can easily interchange them depending on your projects. Let me know if you've worked with Chenille-It before. Apparently it was introduced about 5 years ago. Here are some rose quilt tutorials that are perfect for clearing out your stash fabrics. Especially if you still have some red Christmas fabrics that need to be used instead of stored until next year! Plus you'll learn some fun tips and tricks to make the most out of your fabric scraps. So, grab your fabrics and let's get quilting! Need some more scrappy ideas? If you're close enough to visit, definitely check it out. But be sure to buy your tickets in advance for a reduced price. You'll be amazed by all the fabrics for sale and even more overwhelmed by all the quilts on display! Be sure to post some pictures if you make it there! That makes them a perfect quilting-for-beginners choice. Second is the disappearing 9-patch. The initial block is a simple 9-patch which is then cut into multiple pieces and rearranged into some very interesting designs. Third is the potato chip block. It's definitely been a favorite of mine, too! The allure...
